For the first time in what seems like forever my lil family went on a family vacation Sunday to Monday. On Sunday we packed the car and headed to San Diego Wild Animal Park for the first time with Carter. He absolutely loved it. While he enjoyed see all the animals all he wanted to do all day was feed the ducks. So finally before we left Roy broke a dollar so he could feed them. Here are a few pictures from that day.

After the Wild Animal Park we dropped our stuff at the hotel and then went out and had some more fun. It was such a relaxing day and it was so nice to spend the day with my hubby and monkey boy.

The next day we took Carter to Sea World since I needed to activate my teacher fun card before it expired. We spent a little over 7 hours at the park and had a blast. We usually do not watch any shows but we decided to watch the new Shamu show and it was awful. Poor Carter was bored like 5 minutes into it. Carter had a blast feeding the dolphins and Sea Lions. Although he loves Shamu he is now loving polar bears and penguins (Nay would be so proud). Here are a few pictures.

It was definitely a nice relaxing mini vacay and we definitely look forward to being able to do it again.

In other news, Roy's 30th birthday is right around the corner and this weekend I am taking him to Vegas to celebrate. Roy always says he does not want anything for his birthday but I felt like his 30th needed to be something special. We really enjoyed ourselves last time we went so I decided to do that again for him. This time we are staying at Excalibur so we can be at the other end of the strip.

Well that's it for now....

Mindy

Keeping busy

The Montry family has been rather busy since my last update. At work I am getting my students for CST's when we get back from Spring Break and at home we just finished the Ducks 7 game homestand, although we do have another home game this Wednesday... Last week Roy had a job interview for Utiliquest(?) and he was really impressed with the company and would LOVE the job. So needless to say we are keeping our fingers crossed he passes the first round of interviews and gets to move on to the testing part of it. Carter is starting to get another cold which sucks. I swear the kid is always bringing home some kind of cold, the joys of daycare :)

This past weekend my school had its annual semester trip to Knotts which was fun. I bribed 10 of my students to go on Supreme Scream and Accelerator with me. I told them I would give them extra credit so they were all over that. Roy and I also got a wooden sign made with the Ducks and Red Wings logo on it with "The Montrys" written in the middle. The sign turned out great. My ASB students were super sweet and had a Jehue ASB sign made for me.

This week is a busy week as well. It is officially 4 days until Spring Break starts, we have hockey on Wednesday, I have a school dance on Thursday and our Superintendent is coming Thursday so ASB is throwing a pep rally and going all out at both lunches. Needless to say, I have my hands full this week.

I dont even know if anyone reads my posts but if you do I hope you have a great week!!!

Lovin Life

Things have been going great in the Montry house hold lately. Carter is getting so big and I swear he is one smart boy. Although, the kid will not keep his clothes on to save his life. The second he gets home everyday from daycare he starts stripping down. I'm wondering if this is normal for little boys (please tell me it is)??? Like I said, the kid is smart.... He knows his numbers through 12 i believe, he knows his letters, he can spell his name and knows the National Anthem :) Yep I think the last one is my favorite. He sings the National Anthem at every Ducks game and is so stinkin cute. Today was National Anthem day so he got to sing it at daycare with all his friend. When we sat down for dinner him and I began to sing it at the table after we asked him how his day was. One of these days I will record it for everyone to see.

Work has been going great for both Roy and I, well with the exception of today, and with his work hours the same as mine we actually get home at the same time instead of one of us home alone for several hours before the other arrives. Our lives have fallen into a lovely routine that has made this one happy family. With having the same hours we get a lot of family time and we are loving every moment of it.

Hockey has been going great too. All three of us absolutely love going to the games and really do not mind how tired we are the next day. I have gotten used to not sleeping that much with having a kid that loves to come crawl into your bed around 3a.m. every morning. Last night my Ducks took on Roy's Red Wings so I was outnumbered in the car. Both Roy and Carter were decked out in their Red Wings stuff while I as always stayed loyal to my Ducks wearing my Bobby Ryan jersey. The game was great and very intense during the 3rd period. My Ducks pulled it off in the long run and won on a Bobby Ryan penalty shot during overtime for a much needed two points.

Well now that it is a little past 8p.m. I should really sign off. Carter knows that every night at 8 he has to get ready for bed, so being his mommy it's time to help my monkey. Until next time.. goodnight!!!

Here are some great pics from last nights game... Not bad for most of them being taken from section 437!!!

So the pictures posted from the last to first... hmmmmm...

Trying not to jinx myself

Well I've managed to keep this on the DL for about a month and now that the deadlines have passed I feel like it's ok to talk about it, but I am still worried I may jinx myself. For the first time in my 5 year teaching career I put in a transfer to another school. Don't get me wrong I love where I work and love teaching U.S. History and ASB but it's not what I want to do for my whole career. I never had the intention of working at a middle school but with the teaching jobs so limited I took it and have loved every moment of it. I have always wanted to teach high school because I focused on WWI, WWII and the Civil Rights Movement in college. I figured i've been teaching for 5 years so I should at least try to reach my dreams, so I did it. A month ago I turned in my transfer slip to go to the HS. I have absolutely no idea if it will go through or not, but I find myself getting a little more excited everyday. When I first turned in the slip I was worried it wasn't my time to leave ASB but I prayed about it and thought about it constantly and one day I woke up knowing it was the right decision. So, now that I hoping this post doesn't jinx my chance of getting to the HS I ask that everyone who reads this keeps their fingers crossed for me :)

2 posts in 1 day... dont get used to it :)

Only 2 1/2 years later

Wow, so it's been 2 1/2 years since I was on my blog. A lot has changed since then. Last time I posted Carter was almost a month old and now he's 2 1/2. Our lives have gotten so crazy over these last 2 1/2 years. We watched Roy have a job, loose his job and finally get a job again. Then it was back to the usual for me, work a school year, get pink slipped, work again, get pink slipped... we've fallen into a routine of job uncertainty and it's definitely not fun. Everything (job wise that is) has been stable for about 6 months so it is really nice, although, I will be finding out by March 15th if I get pink slipped for a 3rd year in a row. Enough about the depressing issues, lets move on to the fun things in life.

It seems as if Carter is changing daily, I swear I have one smart boy on my hands. The kid talks up a storm and knows his numbers, alphabet and so many other things. I am truly amazed with this kid everyday. I am also blessed to have one amazing little monkey boy.

Almost 2 season's ago Roy and I decided to get Anaheim Ducks season tickets because we LOVE hockey. I actually just renewed our tickets for a 3rd year today. Having season tickets our lives have fallen into a routine of work, home, change, pick up the kid then head off to hockey. We absolutely love it even if it is crazy and we are sleep deprived on this 7 game homestand.

Well that's all I got right now since the Red Wings game is about to start.. Here's hoping the kick the Kings butts!!! I promise my next post wont be in another 2 1/2 years :)

Who needs sleep when you're a mommy!!!

Well, at this exact time 23 days ago i had my baby boy and it's hard to believe that i am a mommy. It definitely has not been a walk in a park, but i don't think it is for anyone. The first week wasn't so bad because i had my parents stopping by and Roy was here to help me during the day and at night. Well, all good things come to an end at some point or another. My mom went back to work and so did my hubby, which sucked. Roy and I were so excited that we were gonna have the first 6 weeks off together then he got that crappy phone call saying he had to go back. With him going back to work i started taking care of Carter all night since he had to be up in the morning for work then it was just me, carter and 2 puppies during the day. Now, taking care of a newborn and 2 puppies when you do not have a backyard is pretty hard. The dogs have to go out every few hours and with a baby, that's not so easy. Plus did i mention, i'm so not a morning person and i value my sleep. I've learned that during the morning when he takes his nap, so do I!!!!

Now that its been 23 days i've gotten used to getting up at 1a.m. and again at 5a.m. I guess i will be ready for when i go back to work :) I definitely look forward to the weekends when Roy is home so we can all spend time as a family. It's amazing how much Carter has changed in these 3 weeks and how much i love my little guy.

Roy and I had our first date friday. We left Carter with my parents for a few hours and went out to dinner and went and signed up for AT&T. I was very proud of myself, i didn't call my mom once, but boy did i miss my little one. I cant believe i only have 3 weeks left until i have to go back to work and be away from my little guy all day, i hope i dont have a breakdown the first day!!!! It's amazing how much a child can change your life, it forces you to stop thinking about yourself and think of what's best for your family. I definitely would not change one thing that is happening in my life right now because besides marrying Roy, Carter is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Our baby boy is here...

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_UcqYXKDBdjM/SHmDLLWYNQI/AAAAAAAAAEw/PlrCAxkEeEY/s320/DSC05901.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5222349470961251586" />
Well my son arrived exactly 2 weeks early if you go by my original due date. He was really listening to me when i kept telling him he needed to come early so mommy didn't have to pay for a sub. Wednesday night i went to bed with horrible chest pains so i didn't really sleep. I was up around 3a.m. thursday morning and at about 3:44a.m. when i thought of going potty i started leaking in bed. I got up and my water broke. Well after i went to the bathroom to really make sure it was my water i woke roy up saying "babe, my water just broke!" Well we took our sweet time because i wasn't having contractions and i called kaiser to make sure i should go in. Well i called and told my mom and apparently the second she said your water broke my dad was out of bed, dressed and brushing his teeth!!!! We decided to drop the dogs of at there house along the way then realized i also needed gas. Around 5a.m. we finally arrived at the hospital.

after getting checked the stupid midwife didn't believe me that my water broke and said i probably peed all over myself!!! HELLO, i think i would know if i peed on myself!!!! While they decided if they were gonna keep me or send me home, they said they would have me walk around. after i went pee again, i stood up and more water came gushing out of me!!!!

Finally that night at 10:08 p.m. my baby boy was born. It was a very long and tiring day!!!! Carter was 6lbs, 7oz. and 18 in long. He was born exactly 3 years, 3 months, 3hours and 6minutes after my niece. They both weighed the same and Carter was 1 inch smaller than her... We thought that was really cute....

Yes, i was on my myspace practically all day while in labor, but hey i was bored :) plus, nothing in my room worked... No air, no hot water, no t.v. for the first 6 hours, it was BORING!!!!

Thank you to everyone who has sent their congrats and love our way, i really appreciate it all. I am in complete awe of this baby boy and love him more than life itself. I am sitting here right now watching my hubby being the best daddy already. I cant wait for everyone to meet him because he is so precious!!!

My baby shower

Well after a month my sister finally uploaded the pictures from my shower, well technically my niece Sarah did!!!! Darren is here from Texas so we were up in Phelan all of this last weekend driving on dirt roads, then on Monday we went to Disneyland and i was able to walk for 6 hours before i needed Roy to push me in a wheelchair. Yesterday i went to get scanned by my sister to check up on the little pumpkin and he is still completely sealed in the little home i have made for him. Carter is nice and healthy but I would like him to get here already!!!!

We have so many things coming up in the next two months and I find myself having to tell people dont count on us because we dont know when Carter will be here or if we will be up for doing certain things. I keep telling myself i dont have to take my full maternity leave so i can get back to work, but my principal told me i need to think of myself and Carter first and dont rush back if i am too sore.

There are so many things we want to do like go to Disneyland when Chuck, Krista and Lily get here at the end of July, do something for our 1 year anniversary in August, i want to go hang out at Glen Ivy with the girls when Nay is here, but unfortunately i do not know how i will be feeling by then because this is something i've never done before. It's weird, usually Roy and I would be the first to do whatever we wanted but now i have to think of my lil pumpkin. I know my parents have no problem watching him, but I cant see myself leaving him when he is only a few weeks old to do all of this.... We will see though.... Maybe he will come early and i will have a quick recovery!!! One can only hope :)

alright, time to watch baby borrowers!!! it looks GREAT!!!

Goodbye Mrs. Montry???? This is gonna be a long one!!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UcqYXKDBdjM/SFcqQbdEAfI/AAAAAAAAAC4/KhS_5cD0NGU/s320/CIMG0992.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5212681555440566770" />

Well needless to say these last few months have been very hectic and stressful for me. With so many teachers getting laid off in my school district i didn't know if i would have a job this upcoming school year and it made me stress big time, especially with little Carter on the way. I'll get back to the whole job thing in a lil while....

In May, not only was i planning all the end of the year trips for ASB we had 8th grade Celebration and Awards ceremonies that i was in charge of getting stuff for. Finally, the 6th grade trip to Castle Park came and went, yes i survived walking around 10a.m - 4p.m., the next day was 8th grade Celebration and that was my main concern since i had so much to do. I was still waiting for that nights trophies to finish to pick them up, i had to pick up all the flowers, get the tables at the celebration set up, get the water ASB was selling ready to go and stand up on the stage while the students names were being announced to hand them their 8th grade gift!!!! I was wiped out by the time the whole thing was over, but i promised my students i would go find them out on the grass to meet their families and take pictures. I finally left Rialto High School around 8p.m. and headed home to get some sleep before my baby shower the next day.

My baby shower was amazing, i truly have the best friends and family members a girl can ask for. I got practically everything i needed to bring Carter home, including my wonderful pack-n-play that he will be sleeping in, courtesy of my wonderful ADPi sisters.... To be quiet honest, i was completely ready for the baby shower to come and go cause i was so wiped out. It doesn't help that i am blown up because of all this water retention (by the way, the doctor is even shocked at how much water retention i have). Being this swollen is definitely not easy. My knees are gone, i have cankles, i cant make a fist because my hands are so puffy, and i have no lost feeling in my left hand because of the circulation being cut off to my fingers, that goes with my feet too. You should see the creases i have in my ankles, it's so gross!!!! As much as this sucks, i know it will go away once my lil pumpkin gets here so it will all be worth it.....

Alright, after the baby shower, i had the 7/8 grade trip to Universal Studios the day after it caught on fire, so i was flipping out about that... everything went great and i walked my 8 1/2 month prego butt around the park from 10a.m. - 6p.m.!!!! after the trip came the end of the school year and it was sad. I have grown to love my students this year and was sad to see them go, especially since i didn't know if i would have a job next year. My students kept asking if it was ok if they could come visit me next year, but i had to tell them i didn't know if i would be there or not, which was sad. The day finally ended and i said goodbye to all my students.... I went back the following monday to clean out my classroom and it was sad sitting in there by myself waiting to get signed out. I then went back the next day to help with 5th grade day since the new ASB students were giving the campus tours. I gave them a little speech at the end of the day before they left and cried because i didn't know if i would be back.

Last thursday, Roy and I went up to Apple Valley to see my friend Rebecca since i haven't seen her in FOREVER and she is moving tomorrow to North Carolina. On the way up there we stopped at the district for me to add Roy to my benefits just in case i get hired back. As i was leaving the head of personnel came out of his office and i spoke with him and he told me I didn't have my job at Jehue anymore and i was crushed, it took everything out of me to not cry on the spot. He told me i would be sent to a different school, which is a good thing cause i still had a job, but it's not what i wanted. I wanted to be at Jehue with people i know and leading my ASB students. Later that day, i found out good news, someone took a job somewhere else and i was able to go back to Jehue. I am very happy to be back at Jehue and thankful that i have a job. As Nay would say, "Yay, now Carter can eat!!!"

As i sit here and right this, i am counting down the days until my precious baby boy is here.... 30 days from today will be one of the due dates i was given and i really hope he comes early. I have my next doctors appointment on July 3rd and on that day it is safe for him to come out!!! PLEASE CARTER, COME OUT ON JULY 4TH!!!!! On that day, Roy and i are going to start working on getting him out... He found five pressure points that can put you into labor and we are gonna do that. Yes, i know Carter will not come until he is ready to, but if i can help give him a push, i'll do it :)

Not only do i want Carter out so i can hold my baby boy, but i need him out. Being a teacher i have to pay for my sub once all my sick days are gone. Well, i only have 10 sick days since i wasn't able to save any of them this year. So basically after the first two weeks of school i start paying for my sub!!!! I really cant afford that, so the earlier he comes the better!!!!

Last thing, tomorrow i start summer school for 12 days... everyone thinks i'm crazy for teaching over the summer but hey, it's extra money!!!! I have to teach english though, and i'm not to comfortable with that. Thank GOD they tell us what we do everyday, i'm just nervous i will tell them the wrong stuff!!!!

alright, that's it for now!!!!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://themontryfamilyblog.blogspot.com/2008/06/goodbye-mrs-montry-this-is-gonna-be.html' title='Goodbye Mrs. Montry???? She now knows the baby is inside my belly and not hers. :) These past few days when i talk to my sister or mom they tell me something new Brianne has done... A few days ago she got in trouble and Keith was on the couch and my sister in the kitchen and my sister told her she was being bad and brianne turned and looked at her and said, "mommy carter did it, not me." My sister kept telling her "no brianne carter didn't do it, because Carter is still in auntie mindy's belly." Brianne kept insisting that carter was responsible for it and keith just burst up laughing!!!!

Then Brianne has been talking about how she is going to share her playhouse with Carter because he's just a baby and she will push him in her swing... then today rolls around and she asked my dad for diapers for her baby doll and my dad told her they were all out. So she gets up and walks away and comes back with a thing of diapers from "Carters room" in my parents house and my dad explains those aren't for your baby doll they are Carters. Brianne looks straight at my dad and says, "Well Carter needs to share!" So my dad gave in and opened them for her :)

This little girl says the funniest things sometimes... just wanted to share :)

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UcqYXKDBdjM/SBf32jB_JEI/AAAAAAAAACw/ayV2rFkCy2Q/s320/CIMG0350.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5194893211683726402" />

cant catch a break.....

Just when i thought this pregnancy thing was looking up for me since i haven't been sick in 2 weeks i get the phone call.... my glucose test which test for gestational diabetes came back 50 points higher than where you should be. So the lady explained to me what happens next and i have to go to the lab tomorrow and do 3 hours of testing to determine whether or not i have it. After that she points out my nurse practitioner also called her to let her know my iron levels have dropped quite a bit and now i have to take 3 iron pills a day instead of the 1 i was taking and if my iron levels dont start to come up i will have to do something else... lastly, i told her about the swelling in my feet, ankles, knees, hands and fingers and she said i need to stay off of my feet from the time i get home from work... she said if it doesn't get better i need to go to labor and delivery.... On saturday night we got all dressed up and went to the dinner and i got to see a lot of people i haven't seen in such a long time. I also got to meet two of our charter members that i have been dying to meet since i joined ADPi... i swear they are like celebrities to me. After meeting them the girls told me they thought i was going to cry. I thought i would too but i was just so stinkin excited. That was my first night in a long time actually feeling really good. I got to get dressed up, even though i wasn't all formal like some people, i curled my hair and did my make-up which i haven't done for a while since i have been so sick during this pregnancy. It was so much fun.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UcqYXKDBdjM/SA0yNDB_I_I/AAAAAAAAAB4/NV-2FPC035Q/s320/CIMG0697.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5191861145161376754" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_UcqYXKDBdjM/SA0yrzB_JAI/AAAAAAAAACA/AjbK9zSCwSM/s320/CIMG0707.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5191861673442354178" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_UcqYXKDBdjM/SA0zbzB_JBI/AAAAAAAAACI/08WpDFsmGNs/s320/CIMG0716.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5191862498076075026" />

Sunday afternoon i had Jewel degree and i was so stinkin happy to see Penny. I haven't seen her since the wedding and i miss her tons.... we had been playing phone tag for the last few weeks so it was nice to sit down and catch up. Then we got to go through Jewel degree and that was amazing!!!! enough said!!!! Sunday night was the annual KARMA dinner since Nay was still in town and this time Crystal joined us.... we had a lot of fun and Katie, Nay and Am stayed till almost 10 and we were just talking.... i miss my girls so i always look forward to seeing them and being able to get caught up on everything that has been going on in our lives....

NOW.... what the heck was i thinking wearing those shoes this weekend!!!!! oh my GOD my feet are killing me..... not only are they so stinkin swollen they still itch like crazy.... At work today Kristy and Alex told me to soak them in epson salt (or however you spell it) and it will help with the swelling... i am sooo doing that... here's my question though... can i soak my whole body in it???? cause i am swollen all over!!!! my poor feet though, that's my main concern!!!!

Relaxing weekend....

This weekend has been so relaxing, i totally needed it. Both days i have gotten to sleep in, and by sleep in i mean 7:30a.m. I used to be able to sleep till 10 or 11 but i am so used to getting up early that i am usually out of bed by 8a.m. and eating breakfast. I guess it's a good thing because when Carter is here, i'm gonna be up early all the time!!!! Now i just need to work on getting Roy up early. I swear he could sleep till 12 if i let him :)

Yesterday we had my niece's dedication at church and her 3rd birthday party. She is growing up so fast and has some personality on her. She cracks me up all the time. She comes up with the funniest things and my sister tells me even funnier things. Right now Brianne likes to tell Brandy "Chill out Mommy!!!" I thought it was so funny... We bought her a pink golf set and a pink t-ball set for her birthday and Roy opened up the golf set for her so she could play. She was so funny. She kept telling Roy "me first, me first." Then she would tell Roy, "ok, or turn" it was cute cause she couldn't say your.... When Roy plays with her and all the other kids you can see what a great dad he is and i just love watching him with the kids. We are so anxious for Carter to be here it's not even funny.

Today i spent a few hours down in Carter's room working on a scrapbook on my pregnancy and it's just a great feeling to be down in the nursery. Even the puppies love being in their. We have the nursery completely ready to go we are just missing the baby!!! I love feeling this baby boy inside me kicking me and moving around, but i know nothing is going to beat holding him in my arms and watching Roy hold him. I am so ready to be a mommy but i still have 3 months to go!!!!

heartburn and more....

Well, I have finally hit the heartburn stage of my pregnancy. I know some people who have had it throughout the whole pregnancy or at least for a few months. I got it for the first time in my life the night before we went to CO and now, i've had it since last night and it sucks... I've been drinking milk like crazy but nothing is helping me.... i would love any tips anyone has...

I think i have gotten past being hard on myself for my ever growing belly and the fact that my ankles dont look like ankles anymore. Roy tells me I'm beautiful no matter what but sometimes i do not feel like it... I honestly haven't worn make-up to work all week cause of how sick i am in the morning and i run out of time in the morning. Plus i really do not care to put it on :)

Speaking of work, it is CRAZY right now with the end of the year coming up. I have so much to do to make sure everything is ready for the last awards assembly and 8th grade celebration. Not to mention the week after testing we are doing 10 straight days of activities to celebrate Jehue's 10 years of being open.

With my pregnancy and work being crazy I haven't had much time this week to spend with Roy since i have had to run errands the last two days after work to get stuff for ASB. When i got home today I took him to the store and bought him an X-Box 360!!!! he is so happy because he can play Chuck and Darren online.... well i think that's it....for now.....

vacation, pregnancy and more.....

Well, Roy and I got home late last night from our week long vacation in Colorado. After a very long drive we made it to my parents house around 10p.m. last night to pick up our dogs who we missed very much. It's crazy how much those dogs mean to me. Chuck and Krista have a dog so it made me miss mine even more, especially when their dog slept with Roy and me practically every night.

We arrived in CO sometime after 6p.m. last Sunday, just in time to see Lily before she went to bed. Lily has grown so much since we last saw her. She is a little over a year and crawling so much. We instantly got attached to her once again which made me want my baby boy to be here even sooner. One point during the week when i was holding Lily, Carter was kicking her in the butt. It was so cute. Since Monday was our real first day to do stuff we went out to the Cheery Creek Mall, which is like South Coast Plaza but way smaller. This mall is where all the rich stay at home mom's go while their husbands are at work and it showed that day. there were sooooo many kids in the play center, it was crazy. After walking around there we left to go get Krista Enchanted and take it to her work. After getting lunch we went back to the house and ate then it was Lily's nap time. I decided that when it was Lily's nap time it was mine too... so everyday we were at the house and Lily took a nap, so did I. I got anywhere from 2 to 4 hours of nappy time a day :) It was nice and relaxing... after Monday it seemed that anytime we tried to do an outdoor activity (except the Coors field tour) it would snow like crazy!!! We went to Colorado Springs to go to the zoo and when i got out of the car it was 30 degrees and snowing... i said i dont think so and wouldn't get out of the car!!!! it also snowed when we tried to go to the outlets to shop!!! the snow didn't stop me there though, i bought Carter a bunch of stuff at the Carter's outlet store :) Our last night there we spent it at the Pepsi Center where the Av's play and watched arena football... lemme just say, i only went because it's where the Av's play and arena football has got to be the worst thing ever!!!

Roy and I had a lot of fun on our spring break vacation and now it's time for me to start getting things in order for these last few months of work. We have state testing in another week and once that is over, the year flies by....Being ASB coordinator i have a lot of responsibilities for the end of the year that i need to start working on so things will be crazy for me for awhile but it's kinda nice because time will go by much quicker.

Ever since i began to fill Carter move around and kick me it has made this pregnancy amazing... I absolutely love feeling him kick me, even if it is in the bladder at 3a.m. in the morning. While were in CO we actually got to fill him when he decided to move as far down in my stomach as he could. We figured it was either his butt or his head, but still it was amazing. Playing with Lily for all those days makes me want this baby here a lot faster. The only bad part about this pregnancy is still morning sickness and watching my body change so much. I absolutely hate that. I've noticed that my ankles have disappeared and have now become cankles.... I used to have nice toned legs from playing sports and now all this crappy water retention has made me swell up to a big fat balloon!!!! I've already started thinking of my exercise routine for when i finally pop this baby out and i hope i can stick to it. This is the most i have weighed in my life at it has really hit me hard. I dont like looking in a mirror anymore because of how chubby my face looks and i swear my neck is getting bigger too!!!! I haven't been able to wear my beautiful wedding rings for awhile now because my fingers are so swollen and it sucks....dont even get me started on my chest, that's another story in itself.... i finished ready the Jenny McCarthy "belly laughs" book and loved it. It made me feel ok about some stuff when i realized even celebrities go through this crap... i just cant wait till i can drop all this prego weight and feel comfortable again....

i think that's it for now... i need to make dinner...

way tired......

Well i feel like i have been so stinkin busy lately, but in reality i wasn't as busy as i usually am. I have been so tired lately and have been going to bed anywhere between 8 and 9 p.m. because i cant keep my eyes open any longer. Work has been fantastic lately now that my little problem was solved last week. I have one week tomorrow till spring break and i cannot wait because we are going to CO. I've only done the drive once and this time i'm pregnant so we will see how much longer it takes us... :)

Nay has been gone for officially one week today and I miss her tons... i am happy that i have been able to talk to her these past two days though. I am sad that i cant go out there anytime soon to visit though. There is no way in heck, i'm making that drive :)

My sister called me today and when i answered she sounded weird so i knew something was wrong... then her next words out of her mouth were "have you talked to mom today?" I'm thinking "oh no, what's wrong?" My mom always tells us that when she talks to us she can tell in our voices when something was wrong and that's how i felt when i heard my sisters voice. Bran continued to tell me that she found out today that she has skin cancer on her face. She has had this scar looking thing on her chin for about a year and half and when she went to the doctors in Nov. 06 the doctor told her to take a needle to it because it's a clogged pore. well she saw a 3rd doctor on monday and they did a biopsy and today she got the results. She called the plastic surgeon who is gonna take it out but they dont know when they "pencil" her in for the appointment. How horrible is that????? it's not like she is trying to have a nose job or something, she has skin cancer!!!!! She needs to get it done soon because they do not know if it has spread or not... anywho, please keep her in your thoughts... she's a little freaked out, as anyone would be. I reminded her today that our mom had it twice and it is gone, so that's good news for her :)

alright, that's about it.... I also got to file for financial aid, which i have never had because of my parents making too much money. But hopefully with the situation we are in, I will be able to get help with school otherwise i need to take out a loan for school and I dont think i will be able to afford paying for anymore loans... we'll see though.... that's it for now... wish me luck!!!

Graduation and the soccer player!!!

Well, it's been awhile and Katie told me she looks forward to reading my blog, so i thought i would post something before i actually had to get up and start getting ready for the day. On thursday night my wonderful husband had his graduation from his program and I was so proud of him. He took so many years off from school but went back to be able to provide for not only himself but his family. He is truly amazing!!!! The graduation was really short so after we went and grabbed dinner before we headed home. This was such a great thing for him that it helped me forget about the huge problems i am having at work that have now been fixed. Today I am throwing my hubby a small graduation thing with his family to celebrate his success..... I'm doing it at my parents because our place is too small for 20 people. We've been telling the puppies about going to grandma and grandpa's and they are so ready to go!!!! They are so impatient, just like their mommy.....

Besides graduation I think i have a soccer player growing in me!!!! I started feeling him kick last friday and he is having so much fun in there!!!! He hasn't woken me up with it yet, but he has managed to find my bladder!!!! it is the most amazing feeling ever and I think i am finally enjoying being pregnant!!! I cant wait wait till Roy can feel him kick to

o. We finished Carter's nursery earlier this week and it is so st

inkin cute!!! Bailey thinks it's his room and hides under the dresser. Plus it's the only room in the house with carpet and its very comforting just being in his nursery....
<img style="float:right;
